DONDRINO FT. ROPS1 - VIOLATE

Another week of dope drops from the AusRap scene this week, starting off with DonDrino and his new high energy single featuring ROPS1, “VIOLATE”. The intense, fast paced UK drill influenced beat is driven by the artist’s aggressive delivery and lyrics. The intense energy and sense of urgency is only further supported by Rops1’s speedy delivery and violent bars. Don Drino slows the pace down for the second verse, adding his unique and complex wordplay to his ever changing cadence and flow scheme for an equally hard verse, managing to name drop more than 4 ROPS tracks throughout his part. Add a music video shot by The Last Addition and you have one of the hottest locally grown drops of the year. The energy and vibe of this track speaks levels to it’s production value, an excellent release from the Don.

KERSER - WINNER

After a 7 month break since his “Wavey Mixes” project, King Kers is back with a brand new single titled “WINNER”. Rocking a slow and melancholic electric guitar sample over some simple hip hop drums, Kerser spits some mature and evolved sounding reflective bars discussing his personal life behind the music. With a catchy and energetic hook assisting the drums to create an overall bouncy feel. Kerser has improved his songwriting ability ten fold in the last few years, adding a mature and evolved sound to his previously gutter style. “WINNER” is one of Kerser’s greatest sounding tracks to date, and is a good sign for fans of his waiting on his 10th album coming later this year. We are excited to hear what Kerser has in store for us, and wait eagerly for his next release.

OPEN TILL L8 FT HEFS - RIOT

Open Till L8 has been putting in work behind the scenes lately, teaming up with Hooligan Hefs for a brand new party banger “RIOT”. The track was originally teased on Spotify A/NZ’s “A1: The Show” by Open Till L8 and was released shortly afterward. L8’s signature EDM sound returns, adding a hard bass element for the lead and drop while Hefs adds a lyrical build up that eventually results in a classic Open Till L8 drop and breakdown. With his versatile and unique sound mixed with his street and party influenced lyrics that support L8’s production perfectly. With Open Till L8 being one of our most frequent additions to these weekly lists (With two alone this week), we look forward to more independent releases him.

VINSINS - MADNESS

Originally teased on Instagram, VINSINS returns with a movie-esque music video for his new single “MADNESS”. The music video shows scenes of Lamborghini’s and bundles of cash perfectly accompanying the fast paced bouncy lyrics and delivery. With his creative wordplay at the forefront of this track, VINSINS has made a statement. Featuring multiple examples of his creative wordplay and storytelling ability throughout the track, this single comes as a great breakout single for the relatively underrated artist with it’s high production value music video and impressive lyrics having some incredible potential to cast himself into the spotlight.
