Rolling Loud Expands Australian Run With Tyga, Quavo and Rich Amiri Shows

Rolling Loud has announced a pair of pre festival shows in Brisbane and Perth, bringing international acts Tyga, Quavo, and Rich Amiri to Australia ahead of the festival’s Sydney and Melbourne dates in early March.

The Brisbane show takes place on February 28 at an all ages venue, with Tyga, Quavo, and Rich Amiri sharing the stage alongside local supports Hooligan Hefs and Day1. Tyga and Rich Amiri will then head west for a second show in Perth on March 1, an 18+ event featuring local artists Karma, JTeazy, Proh3t, Zero, and Izzar. Quavo does not appear on the Perth bill.

Both shows precede Rolling Loud’s Australian festival dates, Sydney on March 7 and Melbourne on March 8, and sit alongside the brand’s larger Rolling Loud Orlando event in the United States. The pre roll format has become a recurring part of Rolling Loud’s international touring model, pairing headline acts with regional artists in markets outside the main festival cities.

Limited Touring Access Makes These Shows a Rare Opportunity

For Australian hip hop artists, the pre roll shows offer a rare opportunity to perform alongside platinum selling international acts on a globally recognised platform. Rolling Loud’s reach and brand recognition give these stages a level of visibility that extends beyond traditional support slots, particularly for emerging artists still building national profiles.

The inclusion of local talent across both bills reflects a broader shift in how international festivals engage with Australian markets. Where older touring models often treated local acts as secondary additions, Rolling Loud’s pre roll structure positions Australian artists as a visible part of the event rather than an opening formality.

For fans, the shows address a long standing issue in Australian live music: limited access to international hip hop and R&B touring. Geography and touring economics mean many artists rarely make it to Australia, and when they do, appearances are often limited to Sydney and Melbourne. A Tyga show in Brisbane or Perth would be uncommon outside a festival setting. The pre roll model makes these appearances possible by integrating them into a wider tour framework.

Ticket Demand Shows Strong Appetite for International Hip Hop

Both shows are selling quickly. The Brisbane event has already moved through early bird and first release allocations, with only second and final release tickets remaining. Perth is similarly down to its final release batch. The pace of sales points to sustained demand for international hip hop in markets that do not regularly receive standalone headline tours at this scale.

Tyga, a veteran of the 2010s mainstream rap era, remains a reliable touring draw despite shifts in genre trends. Quavo, formerly of Migos, carries name recognition well beyond hip hop circles, while Rich Amiri represents a newer wave of melodic rap gaining traction through streaming platforms and social media.

The local supports span different corners of the Australian scene. Hooligan Hefs has built a strong national profile, while Day1, Karma, JTeazy, Proh3t, Zero, and Izzar reflect a mix of regional voices and emerging artists operating across different styles and audiences.

What the Brisbane and Perth Shows Signal for Future Tours

The pre roll shows function as both standalone events and lead ins to Rolling Loud’s Australian festival weekend. They expand the tour’s footprint beyond the east coast festival cities while creating additional live opportunities for both international and local artists.

For Rolling Loud, the shows also serve as a way to test demand in secondary markets and deepen relationships with local promoters and venues outside the traditional touring circuit.

Tickets for both shows are available via the official Rolling Loud website. With final release allocations now on sale, remaining tickets are expected to move quickly.
