JUXSO - Hot In Here (Remix)

Starting off 2021’s first edition is a relatively unheard of up and coming artist from The LC Official’s very own JUXSO, and his remix of Nelly’s 2001 hit “Hot In Here”. JUXSO gives the track a whole new vibe and modern sound whilst keeping the original beat untouched. It’s this classic beat that allows Juxso to get creative with his deliveries and flow schemes throughout the track, giving it a unique freestyle type of sound.  Unfortunately 2020 didn’t see a lot of releases from The LC with only two releases this year titled “Fade Em’” and “Still Greazy”. The latter appearing in 2020’s December 11th article for its unique sound and aggressive deliveries. That being said, this is Juxso’s first independent release, remix, and video all in one, and there is plenty of time for this young artist to show us what he’s got in 2021. Watch the music video on The LC Official’s YouTube channel here.

ROPS1 - T HOUSE

We have ROPS1 with his latest fast paced trap/gutter rap hybrid “T HOUSE”. ROPS1 has had an incredible year in 2020 managing to release his debut project “Youngest In Charge” whilst also dropping six music videos on the OneLove Creations Youtube Channel. Three of them being released within a single month, a fact he touches on in his latest single. Fans have come to know ROPS for his aggressive deliveries and signature gutter rap style and this track continues that theme wonderfully. With some subtle distorted keys giving an atmospheric feeling to the lead sample, the mix leaves the listener in the midst of the perfectly spaced soundscape and is driven by the booming 808 kick pattern and trap drums. This track is a perfect example of how ROPS continues to perfect his genre of rap, trap influenced gutter rap, whilst managing to get creative with his releases and overall sound. Listen to “T HOUSE” from ROPS1 now on the ONELOVE CREATIONS Youtube Channel below.

HP BOYZ - Rumours

At the final and top spot of this year’s first edition of DTW, we have the HP BOYZ from Melbourne with their latest single “Rumours”. The track draws from Latin themes with both the song and visuals complimenting each other, featuring a “Narcos” style set and a plucked acoustic guitar that makes the melody. The track includes a skippy, catchy hook from MWAYS that bridges the gap between verses perfectly. “Rumours” comes a severe step up from their first release, “Blueprint”, and showcases the impressive commitment and their insane workrate. With an acoustic Latin guitar over the simple trap drum patterns and a video that looks like it was taken off Netflix’s “Narcos”, this release is a perfect way to end the year on a good  note. Watch the official video on YouTube now!

And that concludes our first article and edition of “Dropped This Week” for 2021. We wish everyone a Happy New Year and the best of wishes for the upcoming year. We have many big announcements and plans coming up this year and would like to take a brief moment to thank our weekly readers, social media followers, and most importantly, all the Australian artists for constantly being active in our community. We notice and thank you all for your time, Happy New Year!
